Korean Style Garlic Bread Recipe

As a recap of some beloved recipes from 2024, I'm excited to share one of your favorites – Korean Style Garlic Bread! While this may not be the most authentic recipe, it's the way I made them, and trust me, they turned out AH MAY ZING! Don't let the sweet-savory combo deter you; it's a common delight in Korean cuisine, and the flavors are simply irresistible.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 brioche buns
  • 180g cream cheese
  • 30ml double cream
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 75g salted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • Shredded mozzarella

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, double cream, and sugar until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine softened salted butter, minced garlic cloves, and chopped fresh parsley to make the garlic butter spread.
  4. Cut the brioche buns in half horizontally and spread the cream cheese mixture on the bottom halves.
  5. Top the cream cheese mixture with a generous layer of the garlic butter spread.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top of the garlic butter spread.
  7. Place the top halves of the brioche buns back on and press gently to sandwich the fillings.
  8. Beat the egg in a bowl and brush it over the tops of the buns for a golden finish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy the delicious Korean style garlic bread!
